Ce lot contient la pièce '1941' montée sur carton A4 avec une photo Earl Peel entrant dans sa voiture depuis l'entrée principale de l'hôtel King David pour son trajet officiel jusqu'à la Maison du gouvernement pour la cérémonie d'ouverture. Au verso de la compilation photo de soldats arabes lors de la révolte arabe de 1936-1939 contre les anglais et photo de Juifs quittant la vieille ville de Jérusalem après la révolte arabe de 1936.

La Palestine était un mandat britannique de 1917 à 1948. Sous les auspices du mandat britannique, des pièces ont été frappées de 1927 à 1946. Ce sont les seules pièces jamais frappées avec le mot "Palestine" gravé dessus.

La pièce de 1941 a une couronne autour de l'ouverture centrale avec la date en chiffres arabes et hébreux en bas, et le lettrage PALESTINE en anglais, hébreu et arabe. Au verso la valeur '20 Mills'.
